Objective:  To decorate and write about a pumpkin.

Directions:  You will be provided with a blank pumpkin template and a writing sheet for this project.  Decorate the pumpkin.  Be creative with materials you have around the house--seeds, fabric, paint, feathers, crayons, markers, cotton balls, bows, noodles, cereal, etc.  The writing sheet is optional for this project.  If you would like to write about your pumpkin, please use the provided writing sheet.  Parents:  You can write your child's ideas or you can have your child attempt the writing.  If your child chooses to write about their pumpkin, please label their writing.

Due Date:  Pumpkins should be completed by Thursday, October 15, and returned to school to share on or before that day.  Children will present their pumpkin to the class and talk to the class about how their family worked together to decorate the pumpkin.  All pumpkins will be put on display.
